Everyone is thinking, “what should I blog about?”
Sound familiar?
With AI everywhere many business owners and content creators are wondering if blogging is still worth it and yes it is.
You really want to have a place you own that houses all of your content, unlike Instagram or Facebook where the platforms own your content.
But there are few tips you should know before you start or refresh your blog in 2026.
With AI everywhere people can easily go to Chatgpt and look up how to start dating, or how to get healthy. What they are really looking for is your perspective, routines, and your process. Think of it like this, you want the blogs to showcase your authority and the best way to do that is by asking yourself, “will this help my clients or buyers trust me?” You see, they want YOUR insight, connection, and clarity. They don’t need another tutorial video, they want to know how you became successful, or what you failed at, etc.
Another way to think of this is to write content this is shifting beliefs about what it is you do. You can shift their belief about what it’s like going to a photoshoot, or what a marketing strategy really is. Remember clicks will not be from generic content. This has to be from your point of view.
If you offer a service—whether you’re a photographer, web designer, coach, or marketer—talk about your process. The blog posts that get you booked are the ones people can tell are NOT written by AI. And the one thing AI can’t replicate is your unique process. So talk about how you got into your field, what clients can expect when they sign up to work with you, or what clients are saying after working with you. Blogging is also an incredible tool to send to warm prospects who are still on the fence about working with you. Write your blog as a way to showcase your authority and as a brand-building tool that lasts for years.
Okay Amanda, “What should I blog about?” You already know AI is everywhere, so how can people trust you? My best advice is to blog about whatever your video or podcast is about. Your process will really depend on how you work best. For instance, do you prefer writing the blog first, then using it as an outline for your YouTube video or podcast? A few of my clients prefer to create a YouTube video or podcast first, then have their blog promote that content piece. And so in reality, your blog isn’t separate content, is it? The blog is a great place to house the content you own, plus you can share the link on Pinterest, which then connects to your YouTube channel or podcast.
No, blogs aren’t dead. And yes, businesses are still investing in blogging. The best benefit of blogging is that you own your content. But here’s the thing: what you blog about needs to be authentically you, your processes, your routines, and your unique approach. BIG HINT: Go to Pinterest and search any topic you’re interested in. You’ll notice the pins getting the most clicks are titles like “How I did XYZ” or “What I’m doing to XYZ.”
