You feel motivated to work or accomplish new tasks when you love your work.
But be honest, do you love to post on Instagram?
I’m willing to bet you hate marketing your business on Instagram because of the low reach, or you feel like you are constantly comparing yourself to others.
Am I right? Here’s my solution below.
I took 4 months off from posting reels on my business account and I realized that I could market my business without constantly posting or creating NEW content.
I also realized I love to create content, but that’s more of my creative brain side (not the point).
There are some alarming stats you should know about Instagram and why you should build a strategy offline too:
This all goes to show that if you already have 10k followers, you might not be getting the same reach as before which is why you aren’t seeing the same results as 5 years ago.
Ohh and did you know Lush also went offline, they market their business on YouTube and Pinterest now and here’s some info about it.
Disclaimer: I’m not telling you to delete your Instagram. But you can build a 15 post grid to direct followers to your website or email freebies. (Look at my Instagram for inspiration.)
✅ Emailing past clients with new offers
✅ Networked with other marketers in my niche
✅ Started a YouTube channel where I could post evergreen content
✅ Created a virtual summit
I felt freer, and I thought, “Wow I didn’t sell my soul to Instagram to make money.”
Sound familiar?
There are so many ways to market your business offline and to stand out, whether you are a content creator, service provider, coach, or small business. Here are some ways:
When you are starting to plan how to know which offline marketing strategy is for you, my best advice is to think about these three things:
Can you host an in-person event and maybe get sponsors to offset costs?
Or maybe running a virtual summit will be easier based on your schedule, and if you have client work.
You probably don’t have time to run a summit if your offer is low-ticket, but if your offer is high-ticket, you can position yourself as an expert.
But before you do anything, please don’t delete your Instagram account.
We all know people love to stalk people on Instagram.
Instead, I recommend creating a 9-15 grid and directing people to your email or website.
Lush’s Instagram is a great reference point.
My experience as a social media manager has helped me see that there are a ton of businesses that have built brands offline.
Some of my past clients had a small follower account because they used social media as a way to build partnerships rather than get clients.
And some past clients had a huge following, but didn’t know how to leverage their audience with the right products.
So that’s where I come in.
With my 5 years of marketing experience, I’ve helped clients launch events, funnels, websites, Pinterest accounts, blogs, and podcasts.
